On to College

For this campaign our team identified an opportunity to make a connection with a new generation of consumers. Our price and promotional marketing vehicle communicated that the value that Target can bring to college students with low prices. Our team wanted to spark a "we got your back" relationship with this new wave of consumers. As an AD and Designer for this campaign we  created inspiration yet attainable spaces that could show personalization of our prodcuts. Using simple sets made it easy for our guest to shop. This campaign lived in our Printed Weekly Ad and across social channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Role - Art Director & Designer
Year - 2019

Client - Target

THE IDEA

Target has the basics covered. And totally on a budget. Messaging is grounded in "make it yours" moments that are timely and empowering to students and inspiring for parents who are there to support, encourage, and guide their kids' to make their college experience reflect their goals.

Spending money where you choose, style-centric pieces & finds, and things you'll love for freshman year & beyond. Saving money gives you more choices.

THE RESULTS

Store traffic in August jumped 27.5% above the baseline traffic, well over the previous year’s back-to school bump. The two weeks preceding August 12th were exceptionally strong showing that the back to school season was extending.
