Black Friday Deals
In retail, Black Friday is our super bowl. Studies found that in 2021 consumers tackle their holiday shopping across a two week span, not one single day. The pandemic, technology, and faster shipping also making an impact on how and where consumers shop. Our online digital experience will be crucial to our success. With that in mind, we needed to come up with a solution that communicates value, captures the energy of the season, and has strong brand recognition.
As lead Art Director and Creative Manager, I led our designers to create a style guide and look & feel for our Black Friday campaign. The campaign lived across all of our channels and included homepage design, landing pages, paid social, digital banners, targeted emails, digital video, store retail displays and a print piece. I also Art Directed on set the photography and assets to be used for the campaign.

THE IDEA
We needed to stand out against our competition, so we dived into our brand blue. Owning our authority as home experts we leaned into showcasing our breadth of assortment by sousing on key category drivers in our navigation. We captured the spirit of the season through styling, products styled in a gifting environment with ribbon, ornaments and decor.
Most significantly we strategized and redesigned our pricing system with the impact of simplifying our shopping experience. We lead with the door price big and bold. No math required, what you saw was what you got. Coupon and additional offers all included Secondary to the out the door price, was the savings. We showed the exactly how much consumers were saving in both percent and dollar amount.
The combination of our messaging hierarchy and visual system we created a campaign that communicated strong value, captured the energy of the season, and had strong brand recognition.
